Great Tasting Gelato

This would have to be one of my favourite places in Sydney for a gelato fix along with Gelato Messina in Darlinghurst. With so many choices it's always so hard to choose but my Tiramisu and Wildberry had good depth of flavour and satisfied the taste buds. I'm sure all of the flavours would be just as good — I'm usually a bit fan of testing the pistachio, hazelnut and chocolate when I visit a gelato eatery. My ultimate dream would be sit down and try a spoonful of every flavour to compare in one sitting! Don't forget there's extra seating upstairs.

Tiramisu and Wildberry, 2 scoops $6

I've never found a good pistachio ice cream in Sydney ever. I'm always looking for a pistachio like the one at Berthillon http://www.notquitenigella.com/2008/07/27/berthillon-ice-cream-ile-st-louis-paris/

I do like Messina - they're great. Would love to try out Dolce & Gelato at some point too.

Have you tried Gelatomassi, also on King St? I much prefer their gelato... the flavours are much truer and intense hehe.

hi yaya, one of the better ones i've come across in Sydney.

hi lorraine, the Berthillon looks fantastic but unfortunately it's a little bit too far to get to. hope to visit one day though.

hi anita, let me know what you think if you check it out.

hi a cupcake or two, warmer weather means more gelato i think, although anytime seems a good time for gelato

hi sarah, i have tried gelatomassi which is good but the owner scares me a little with his over friendliness hehe but i guess he's very passionate about his gelato :-)

I hate going into Gelatomassi. Some of the most crude comments and sleazy behavior I have ever encountered. I use to love their sorbet but I recently went into Dolce and Gelato and speaking to one of the gorgeous girls that work there they said that they have started pumping up the amount of fresh fruit in the sorbets. I tried the mango, passionfruit and blood orange. It was AMAZING!
They also renovated upstairs, looks great and can't get over how lovely the staff are. ALSO they have free upgrade vouchers. I got a three scoop for the price of two. W00T!

hi anonymous, upgrade voucher! woohoo. i gotta get myself one of those :-) thanks for the tip. i prefer not going to Gelatomassi as well because the service guy is sometimes a bit full on and i don't feel as relaxed.
