Sustainable Nespresso Espresso

“The latest Limited Edition Grand Cru from Nespresso, Dhjana, is the product of the company's leading AAA Sustainable Quality Coffee Program which assists over 40,000 farming communities across the world, working to protect the natural environment and secure the livelihoods of farmers”

Thanks to Krystyna Frassetto from Weber Shandwick for inviting me to the Nespresso party-like event to promote their new Dhjana coffee which is apparently the first-ever 100% sustainable coffee from Nespresso. Even though the event was held on the same night as Vogue Fashion's Night Out it still managed to attract a reasonable crowd who were tempted by four different cocktails. Of course I had to try them all and it was hard to pick my favourite but in the end I most favoured the refreshing Coorg cocktail [INDIA] made with puree of pineapple, vanilla bean, coriander and homemade curry and kaffir lime dust shaken with vodka, vanilla liqueur and ginger syrup and the smooth Jardin [COLOMBIA] cocktail made with the new Nespresso Limited Edition, Dhjana shaken with Spanish brandy and Crème de Cacao aka Espresso Martini. Plenty of canapes were on offer but the decent sized Tandoori Prawns were too good to just stop at just one. The Miniature Quince Crème Brûlée was a nice way to finish off the night with a side of a Nespresso Latte. It's the first time I've stepped foot in Sub Solo and it seems like it would be a nice place to return one day for a cheeky drink or two with a side of tasty tapas dishes.
