Italian pizza in Randwick
This place used to be i BRIGANTI where I've had the pizzas before with a nice soft base. New owners and new name now but noticed the large wood-fired oven remains for cooking up the pizzas. Garlic Bread ($5) had nice flavour although a bit too much bread to garlic butter ratio I thought and thinner angled slices would probably work better. Spaghetti Bolognese ($12 kids menu) was a generous portion and pretty good. Ham & Cheese Pizza ($12 kids menu) had plenty of topping with a good base. Gamberi pizza - tomato, mozzarella & prawns ($22.50) was yummy with good sized prawns. Vanilla Ice Cream for the kids ($3) always a winner and Vanilla Pannacotta with Mixed Berries ($10.50) was quite nice although missing the 'mixed berries' as listed on the menu for some reason. Tiramisu to share ($12.50 on menu, $10 charged) was a generous size with yummy flavours and pretty moist. You could probably finish it off by yourself as I did but might be best to share to save yourself a few calories. Service was friendly and plenty of seating inside for large groups. Free street parking available in the area.
