Cafe Sopra would definitely be my favourite Italian restaurant. I would happily eat there every time I go to Sydney
The beef tartare at Bentley Restaurant & Bar is phenomenal!
...and Ghermez Cupcakes (we go to the Alexandria store) are very nice also. The Pistrachio & Rose and the Orange & Almond ones are particularly delicious!!
So helpful..friends and i are always stuck for ideas as to where to go incase we are disapointed.
I'll be ticking these off as we go :)

Have you tried Le Pelican (French) in Surry Hills? Or Uchi Lounge (Fusion Japanese) in Darlinghurst? My favourite restaurants by far.
hi Althea Aseoche, i've yet to try Le Pelican and Uchi Lounge but have heard of them and hope to one day try them. thanks for the reminder to add to my wish list :-)
Tried Petaling Street and was disappointed totally. They got the dishes name right but could not match with the taste. Ipoh Wan Tan Hor (Hor Fun), have you tried Istana in Thornleigh? I find their Hainanese Chicken rice and Ipoh Wan Tan Hor is still the best I have tried. Always searching for really good Malaysian food in Sydney.
hi chak, thanks for the recommendations. i have been to Istana but haven't had those two dishes. i do like their Mango Chicken though.
