Cafe in the sky
Such a cool space for a cafe and this one is hidden on level 7 of the Westfield and J.P. Morgan building. Menu prices are so reasonable here and new owners of the cafe have been here for about a year I've been told. Service was friendly and good. Pumpkin Soup and Toast ($10) had a nice creamy flavour and silky texture. I chose Turkish bread to go with it. Nothing seems to be over $15 on the menu. Best way to find this place is by entering the J.P. Morgan entrance on Castlereagh St and take the lift straight to the Sky Lobby. Otherwise you can enter via the escalator from level 6 to 7 within Westfield Sydney located outside JB HiFi as I once did when I stumbled across it by being curious what was on Level 7. Love the bold architecture and very high ceiling.

Build your own healthy salad

I do like Sake Restaurant so good to see they now have a more affordable dining experience. Building your own salad is nothing new but the ingredients they have on offer are quite different to the norm giving them a point of difference. I'll prewarn you the first time you do this you'll probably be as confused as I was in how the system works. But once you've done it once you'll be an expert. Just remember you pick 1 base and 1 protein and a sauce. Then it's unlimited veggies, garnishes and toppings. I created a Spicy yuzu ponzu salmon chirashi with mixed greens, veggies, dressing, garnish and toppings ($15). It ends up being pretty sustainable in size and was tasty. If you can't be bothered to queue and pick your own ingredients they have some already made up salads and sushi which looked pretty good and can be purchased from a different counter that didn't have a queue.

Vietnamese eats in the CBD
I've tried a few dishes at this place. The Chicken Pho Soup ($13.90) is probably considered a little on the pricy side but its a decent portion size with a flavoursome broth. Make it even better with some of the chilli oil available at the counter. The chicken is fairly lean of fatty bits. There's some seating available in front of the counter or try and find a spot in the food court on Level 5.
