Coffee oasis on William St
Friendly and welcoming service serving a custom blend coffee from Neoma Specialty Coffee Roasters. Cappuccino ($3.50) had a nice light to medium roast flavour with a good amount of froth although I tend to prefer a stronger coffee in the morning but I'm suspecting a smaller cup serving might help make it more punchy. A limited menu but some slices of housemade cake on display look tempting. A good amount of seating that's thankfully covered if raining. Parking is the biggest issue in this area but there is 15 mins free parking on William Street if you're lucky enough to grab a spot for a quick takeaway or there's also a few 1 hour spots behind William Street on St Peters Lane, Premier Lane and Forbes Street. Some umbrellas or large potted plants could make the cafe a little bit more welcoming and cosy I think.

Campos lovers cafe
Previously Knight's Coffee & Tea they've renamed themselves as Esquire Espresso. Still using Campos Coffee and doing it well. Cappuccino ($3.80) was enjoyable and barista is friendly and takes the time to welcome new and regular customers. There's limited seating but most regulars seem happy for their takeaway coffee run.

Dairy & Gluten Free Soft Serve
This small stall is located outside Coles in East Village Shopping. This dairy free soft serve comes out looking like a funny blob hehe. Tried both base flavours on offer without any of the toppings and pimping. Heart Beet Dairy Free Soft Serve with lychee, hint of beetroot & rosewater ($4.80) and Blobbero Rocher Dairy Free Soft Serve with Dutch chocolate, roasted peanuts ($4.80) were both very nice and enjoyable in flavour. They had a smooth texture and if I didn't know any better I wouldn't have picked them to be dairy free. There doesn't seem to be any details of what it's actually made of or how much sugar there is but I'm suspecting the sugar content could be high.

Healthy Japanese eat in CBD
When in need of a healthy lunch choice I always think Japanese is the way to go. Really enjoyed this Kaisen Don ($13.80) with a nice mix of quality sashimi and prawn, the pop of tobiko, some crunch from the seaweed salad and sharpness of the pickled ginger. For those who love their wasabi kick this one came out guns blazing but I kept it to the side. All sitting on a bed of rice with slivers of dried seaweed. There's some casual seating near the service counter and just outside for the takeaway options. If there's no spots left you can find some casual seating across the road at The Wintergarden to enjoy your meal. Service was friendly and polite.

Cafe with a side of art
Loving the Japanese garden that's part of this cafe. Great place to bring the family and enjoy a spot of art inside the air conditioned gallery space on a hot day. Afternoon pick me up of Apple Flan ($6.50) and a Soy Chai Latte ($4.20) are nice. Friendly service and coffee uses beans from The Coffee Roaster.
