Saving the ugly fruit in Redfern
The new juice kids on the block are doing a great job in saving the ugly fruit from landfill. Love the idea and since they're from Papa Gede's Bar I'm hoping they'll also create Das Cocktail down the track. My healthy start to the day was a Green Street Juice - pear, mint, lemon, ginger, spinach, kale, parsley, cucumber ($7, $1 refund for return of bottle). I asked if I drank it on the spot can I just pay $6 which they agreed to. I enjoyed the flavour and the other ready to drink cold pressed juice options in the fridge looked good. I'm hoping they'll expand to sell their juices in cafes around town, especially in the city for the lunch time crowd.

Healthy juice pitstop in Coogee
Looks like plenty of healthy options to be found on the menu here. Popped in for a simple and healthy Orange, Carrot, Turmeric, Ginger, Lemon ($8 regular size) with the kids. Tasted very nice and the kids couldn't get enough of it and didn't want to share it. Friendly staff and plenty of seating outside to be taken advantage of on a nice day even though it's next to a very busy main road.

Temple of juice
This place is huge and seems to be making fresh juices cool and sexy with its hip and happening vibe. Lots of comfy seating, switched on service and pumped up dance music filling the space like a night club. I try the ‘Immunity’ - red grapefruit, passion fruit, apple juice ($8.25 large) which has a nice refreshing flavour. So many choices on the menu it's a bit overwhelming at first when trying to read them on the wall menu. Would love to see reusable cups being used when dining in rather than the single use plastic ones. All this healthy drinking but I fear the environmental impact it's causing on the flip side. Hopefully they have a great recycling program with all the disposable cups being collected in the bins provided? Next time will definitely have to try their coffee which seems to be the other passion for these guys.
