Kid and Adult Friendly
I love how you can still feel like an adult in this very kid friendly venue. Sydney Rock Oysters ($4 each) from Merimbula are shucked to order and retain some nice flavoured brine. Margherita pizza with tomato and mozzarella ($12.50 kids menu) has a nice soft and tasty base and is demolished by Miss 6 year old. There's plenty of seating and a kids play area that's always filled with loud screams of joy. Handy location right next to the beach. There's free street parking in the area but highly popular on weekends. One of my spiritual homes when I'm on daddy daycare duty and in need of a casual eat with the kids. The free wifi is handy as well.

Healthy juice pitstop in Coogee
Looks like plenty of healthy options to be found on the menu here. Popped in for a simple and healthy Orange, Carrot, Turmeric, Ginger, Lemon ($8 regular size) with the kids. Tasted very nice and the kids couldn't get enough of it and didn't want to share it. Friendly staff and plenty of seating outside to be taken advantage of on a nice day even though it's next to a very busy main road.

Morning coffee near the beach
A small cafe that's well located near the beach. Latte ($3.70 + 10% public holiday surcharge = $4) uses Allpress Espresso coffee which is pretty good. I don't think I've come across a bad Allpress coffee to date. The menu prices seem quite reasonable considering its location. Staff were friendly and if you score a window seat there's a nice view towards the beach. Amongst the condiments I spotted some sunscreen which is nice of them to provide.

Hot chips craving sorted
This place used to be Kiwi Style Fish & Chips but has since been sold and now has new owners. The Mascot shop still remains though for Kiwi Style Fish & Chips. The menus, seating and basic decor remain here and thankfully the nicely cooked chips as well. Hot Chips ($4 minimum order) are crispy and a generous portion for the minimal order making it a Simon Favourite. Service was friendly. Kitchen turnaround can be quite slow when busy but their quality product is worth waiting for. Menu is pretty reasonably priced and the shop is located not too far from the beach and park down the road.
