Dessert trolley to the rescue

“Inspired by the most popular neighborhood bistros of Paris, Bistro Guillaume Sydney offers a menu abundant with French classics.”

Hidden inside the foyer of the Suncorp building you'll find this lovely setting for a French bistro. In need of a dessert fix I was tempted by the classic Profiteroles with vanilla bean ice cream and warm chocolate sauce for $20 but thankfully Chef Guillaume Brahimi recommended the Dessert Trolley for just $25 per person. Ideal for those who love trying a few things. The selection included Pistachio Trifle, Valrhona chocolate mousse, Passionfruit crème brulee, Chocolate and Salt caramel tart, Lemon tart, Paris Brest and Mille Feuille with Madagascan Vanilla cream. The signature Lemon tart is a must with excellent flavour, texture and thin pastry — best Lemon tart in Sydney me thinks. Whichever ones you decide to try you'll definitely need a coffee to wash down the calories. Cappuccino ($5) uses Vittoria Coffee. The sharpness of flavour helped to cut through the sugar hit quite well. Service was professional and friendly. The seating comfortable with different configurations to cater for all group types and individuals. More casual takeaway eats available outside where I spotted and wonderful looking Large Strawberry & Vanilla Tart for $55. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu including the Cheese Trolley for only $25 per person.
