This pleasant and homely restaurant with friendly staff and a log fire serves reasonably priced comfort food next to the Tower Estate Wines and was a recommendation by my hosts at the Hunter Valley Cooperage Bed & Breakfast. The restaurant seems to attract a more local and mature crowd which is a welcome change from the noisier and similar priced Harrigan's Irish Pub and Potters Hotel & Brewery. The prawns were a decent size and quite tasty, the chips crunchy and the steak flavoursome. There was a good variety of steamed vegetables to be had in the side dish too.
For the dessert I would have preferred more crumbling to seal and encase the sweet rhubarb rather than the light sprinkling that came on top but it still satisfied the sugar hit. My medium-rare steak had a slightly charcoal taste in parts on the underside so this was a little disappointing to the taste buds but besides that I'd be happy to revisit as a Hunter Valley dining option in the future.

That's funny how they dump the icecream straight on top of the crumble! Couldn't they have put it on the side?!
The prawns look GOOD!
Have been here- it's the best place to chill out in the Valley- friendly staff- lovely Irish girl, and not OVER-PRICED like the whole valley is!!
Rilsta- don't comment on the ice-cream unless you've tried it- devine!!!! This undoubtedly beats Harrigans- and don't even attempt to go to Potters
No. 1 place in the Valley
P.s. The chicken dish is superb!
Heard a lot about this place from my friends, will make a visit with my GF in the summer season.
