Mapping my food journey
Google is great, especially when you want to show lots of places on the one map. I've now added my own map to include all the places I've visited and reviewed. This map will eventually show all the places which Simon Food Favourites has visited including links to my blog review. I hope it becomes useful and I'll eventually update with all past post locations. I've been meaning to create one for a while and was inspired by seeing one on Melbourne Gastronome which made me make more of an effort to give it a go. It's both cool and a little scary seeing all the places you've eaten at on one map. Please find below a key to guide you to some of my favourite spots.

Wow! A great idea...Love it.
Great one! Love the pink Simon Favourites markers :)
What a brilliant idea! I like how you made the ones you really enjoyed stand out.. Maybe you should also put a key on the side; just so new readers know what they mean..
Wow someone's been busy! Have been meaning to do this for ages. It's always interesting to see the geographic pattern that emerges :)
That is neat! Interesting to see you eating pattern :P
Such a great idea... I really like it..easy for the follower like me :D
hi peter, it's very addictive too. i really want to see on one map where i've visited. it's crazy!
hi foodwink, i wish they had star markers too but i think you have to customise them to add.
hi Phuoc'n Delicious, i was thinking that would be more helpful although there seems to be a hell of a lot of them :-) i must love half the places i visit.
hi helen, it's a great time waster hehe ;-) although i hope someone appreciates it in the end. you must do it. i think it's quite useful — hopefully.
hi ffichiban, once i've added all the places i'm hoping they'll be more of a spread to the outer west and north shore and canberra too. i'll be able to add melbourne soon too when i visit.
hi bean sprout's cafe, glad you find it easy to follow. i tried to make it as simple as possible. hopefully it does the trick :-)
Hey Simon, how you did this? Can teach? LOLs..
hi foodiesnplaces, all you have to do is google maps and select My Maps after you've logged in. then when you type in an address and it's located you can then select "Save to..." and select your map you've created and start adding locations. you can customise the marker and other details as you desire. give it a go. but be warned it might become very addictive and you'll be spending hours at the computer :-)
