The art of burlesque
A friends farewell brings me to The Art Lounge. The decor looks pretty amazing on their website although at night it's a bit harder to notice all the decorative and colourful details when the lights are dimmed low. Thursday nights is themed Parisian Nights where you can be entertained by burlesque performers while sipping on a cocktail or two. The Watermelon & Elderflower Martini ($18) is quite nice and easy to drink although I'm not a fan of cocktail menus without prices listed. French fries ($8) and Garlic bread ($4) are equally good and as you'd hope. I didn't get to try the Mezze plate ($22) but it looked like it had a few savoury treats worth trying next time perhaps.
SNAPSHOT REVIEW:
PROS: Cosy and romantic lighting, Nice decor, Interesting menu, Free entertainment during Parisian Nights
CONS: Cocktail menu doesn't seem to list prices, Not the easiest area to find street parking, Website is a bit clunky to navigate
MUST TRY: Maybe revisiting to try other cocktails and the bar menu

Wow, the place looks like so much fun! So opulent! Hate places that are a bit suss with prices though... :c
