Great Coffee In Little Places
You know the barista is obsessed with coffee when he explains the lighting feature on the ceiling is the formula for caffeine. I'm suspecting not many people would know this including myself. The guys are super friendly here and have become a local gem serving good coffee. Apparently they've been here for about 5 months but they're so small that even the locals are still discovering them. I noticed boutique single origin coffees on the shelves to order and they even have nitro brew on tap.
My Cappuccino ($3.50) was very enjoyable made with a custom house blend. No coffee art on this one but hits the spot for a good caffeine hit. The Babyccino ($1) is served in a paper cup with a lid and straw. Even though it's all milk rather than my preferred froth it ended up being pretty safe to hand to my one year old without thankfully spilling a drop. They were kind enough to offer her two marshmallows while we wanted for my coffee which of course she loved. There's a limited menu including jaffles to tempt. I definitely need to come back to try the Truffle Salami with Maffra Cheddar for $8.50. Seating is very limited with a couple of tables outside and a couple of stools inside. Handy location right next to the bus stop for commuters. They're so keen to please that they're even happy for you to shout your coffee order from your car in front and they'll bring it around to you as you wait in the No Parking area around the corner in Garden Lane. I'll have to remember this next time the little one is sleeping in the car and I'm in need of a coffee on the run.
