Popular weekend brunch spot
“X74 is a welcoming environment serving world class food in a north facing , light filled space. The menu changes seasonally and is never static. With efficient, friendly service, we aim to create an environment that is a joy at any time of day.”
Seems like a very popular local cafe that takes its name from the X74 bus route located next to it. A take away coffee run with the family of a Cappuccino ($3.80 regular), Latte ($4.30 large) and Babyccino ($2.50). Nicely made coffee using Allpress Espresso. The babyccino is all milk but has a lid although still can get messy when left in the hands of a 1 year old which ended up being the case — imagine front of the shirt with chocolatey milk dribble marks. The marshmallow is appreciated but it's quite a pricey babyccino compared to many others around Sydney. My first time visit and found the takeaway ordering system wasn't particularly clear but I now know you need to queue outside and order from the baristas and not from inside. Service was friendly but did take a while waiting for someone to ask for orders hence the confusion to where I needed to order. Waiting for the takeaway coffee order also took a bit of time due to the demand on coffees at the time. Something to keep in mind if you're hoping for a quick takeaway coffee while waiting for your bus. I'll have to try a dine in next time to explore the menu more.
