What's old is new again
The last time I visited The Orient Hotel must have been about a decade ago, maybe even two. Good times when it was a melting pot of drinking and dancing on the top floor and throughout. How things have changed from what I remember. The new renovation decor and fit out is looking great and much more open and welcoming with a lovely natural light filled rooftop area. Smells a lot fresher too with all that old beer stained carpet replaced on the ground floor. Menu looks good and I hope they introduce some weekly lunch specials for a cheaper solo dining experience and maybe expand the dessert menu with a couple more temptations that are lighter than the dark chocolate brownie with double cream which sounds pretty good anyway. It's a shame you can't eat in the nice little courtyard area outside for some reason.
