Photographing a year of meals
This slide night event caught my eye mainly due to the fact that one of the entries is by someone whose photographed an entire year’s worth of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. For some passionate/obsessive food bloggers this might actually be their reality also although I'm not sure if there's anyone that has included their dog in every shot as the invite shows (pictured above). The only food blogger who stands out to me that might meet this 'every meal' criteria is Laura from StarLoz.
ACP says the slide night is a tribute to the curiosities, obsessions and perversities of 12 Australian photographers. There’s cats, cars, and collectibles; empty shops and interrogation rooms; lost loves, self love and love for sale, and an entire year’s worth of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Captured, Collected, Categorised takes us to the nutty extremes of taxonomy and photography.
I think for some of us that take photos of our food it isn't really that 'nutty' but just a normal day of our eating life. Our friends and families might be amused and think we're perhaps a bit weird and nutty but hopefully after many years they've become supportive in our endeavors — or just humor us and hope it will go away in time :-).

I take photographs for all my meals, it's not weird. i'm in love with healthy food & love sharing it with the world.
looks like i'll be there. As long as it's accessible, I'll be there!
I'm having a completely blind day.
When I first read this, I only scanned it quickly.
I missed that it was an upcoming event & that you made mention of me.
Thanks for the mention
Hmmmm ... photographing food before you eat it. Who does that! ;)
hi laura, it's a very passionate dedication you have there. one day i hope to see you having an exhibition of all these photos of yours. i believe it's a very accessible gallery space.
