A taste of South America
I'm finding the daily Hey You lunch offers quite inspirational at the moment in discovering new places to eat or have a coffee. I've been curious to know what Per Kilo was as it sounded like a pay per weight eatery which apparently it used to be when it originally opened. The advertising for the 'Corrientazo' had me intrigued looking a bit like a Halal Snack Pack. 'A traditional Colombian lunch box' which included choice of filling, which was either vegetables or chicken (add $1.50), and rice, black beans & salad. $12 normally with the chicken but with the 20% Hey You lunch discount promo came to an even more reasonable $9.60. Quite a nice and simple lunch eat and I think you could easily pimp it up with some cheese, jalapenos and salsa to make it extra special. I count 7 seats inside this tiny place if you're lucky enough to dine in so it's more suited for the takeaway lunch crowd.
