Criniti's: 1 metre long pizza and 1 kg ribs, Darling Harbour (15 Jan 2010)

Shop 461, Level 2, Harbourside Shopping Centre
10 Darling Drive, Darling Harbour NSW 2000

Longest Pizza in Sydney?

So before you get the wrong impression I did actually share this beast — only because I had to though :-). It seems Hurricanes at Darling Harbour has some competition for the ribs, big salads and carnivore market although I still preferred the pork ribs at Hurricanes. The pizza was good and shared between 8 people. We intended to have this as an entree starter but soon realised we could have happily sat on this with perhaps some salads and dessert for the whole dinner — I'll know for next time. I reckon if you had 8 people go for the 1 metre pizza which can combine 3 different toppings and then check out the Dessert Platter which includes 11 desserts for $65.90, yeah come to mamma!

The entree sized pasta dishes are huge and I think 2 people could possibly share one with a salad which are also large yet priced accordingly. Service is very quick and efficient except when four of the waiters got a little distracted chatting up six young lady diners next to us — guys will be guys :-) The kitchen was pumping out the food and if you're lucky enough to sit out on the balcony you'll get a nice few of Darling Harbour. It seems to be a very popular place for birthdays which we were there for too — while dining there were at least 6 other happy birthday cheers around the large dining area when the dessert cake came out.

SNAPSHOT REVIEW:

Very popular

Criniti's is very large and was packed and popular. There's also a store at Darling Harbour and if your ever in need of a '1 metre' wood fired pizza or 1 kg of BBQ ribs then this is the place to find them. The pizza base was really yummy and dish portion sizes seemed to be quite generous. The Seafood Spiedino had tasty pieces of seafood and the Calamari Fritti had a decent crisp with unmistakable pepper throughout. Staff move quickly around the restaurant to try and keep up with customer demand.

Seafood Spiedino: Skewered char-grilled prawns, scallops, calamari & octopus, w garlic aioli, served w chips & salad $36.9

Suprema pizza ham, cabanossi, capsicum, mushrooms, olives, pepperoni & onion $25.9

Calamari fritti: crisp fried salt & pepper squid, served w garlic aioli $22.9
