Thomas Chipman: Organic Beetroot Chips (19 Sept 2010)

Factory 45, 64-86 Beresford Road, Lilydale VIC 3140

Healthy organic chips

While perusing the shefls of the About Life store in Bondi Junction I start to quickly realise how many organic products alternatives are now available for just about everything — the bread section alone was pretty overwhelming. Today I try the Thomas Chipman Beetroot Chips ($2.95 for 75 grams) as a snack. Surprisingly tasty and generally ticks all the boxes for a healthy snack alternative. Makes me want to try their other products now.

SNAPSHOT REVIEW:
PROS: Certified organic, Gluten free, 100% natural, Australian made and owned, Guaranteed nut free, Tasty
CONS: More expensive than normal chips, Colours your tongue reddy purple, Can't stop until the pack is finished
MUST TRY: Other Chipman chips and organic products for a healthier snack

I once tried turnip chips and they were horrid! I vowed never to try another sort of non-potato chip again. But I might just change my mind now...

I think it's so awesome there is such a great variety of organic products available! I've made beetroot chips in the oven myself, they were really good!

Beetroot contains the powerful antioxidant, betacyanin, which gives it its deep red color. Beetroot is rich in Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and C. It also helps regenerates and reactivates red blood cells and supplies fresh oxygen to the body. Need more information about beetroot? Just visit organic food delivered.

I agree these are fantastic chips, tried them for the first time yesterday, but I paid $4.30 for 75g, price has almost doubled in a few months????
