Well presented & yummy Thai
One of my favourite chicken satays for many years has been at Tum Thai in Randwick but after seeing the presentation, sauce and decent size at Chat Thai I now I have another favourite to add to the list. The chicken and prawn dumplings are also good and well presented for a reasonable price. I love the traditional metal water cups they provide and the service was very friendly and efficient. I've yet to try the Haymarket Chat Thai but it's on my 2010 new years resolution of places to try — although the small Randwick restaurant seems easier to get a seat when it's not as busy.
Gai Satay: Skewered and char grilled chicken fillets marinated in garlic, tumeric and coriander roots accompanied with peanut sauce and salsa of pickled cucumber and red onions $2.50 each
SIMON FAVOURITE :-)

If it's the same as the Haymarket branch in terms of food quality, it certainly is a good alternative. Love Chat Thai's reasonable prices and great food.
hi joey, it's one of their branches but smaller and possibly doesn't have everything on the menu that haymarket has.
