Crispy Bacon is the Best
What better way is there to enjoy the Rosemary Pancetta I received at the Food Bloggers Award Launch than to simply place it under the griller until it's crispy and crunchy to have with my scrambled eggs for a lazy Sunday breakfast. I also tried some of the Montecatini Rosemary Pancetta on it's own straight out of the packet and found it a lot more melty in the mouth than another pancetta brand I bought from Woolworths last year which was slightly more stringy. I'll be looking out for Montecatini next time I need some for an antipasto platter.
Other pork products sampled:
• Prosciutto - San José Smallgoods
• Guanciale - Campisi's Continental Butchery
• Rosemary pancetta - Montecatini Speciality Smallgoods
• Bacon Rashers - Schulte's Meat Tavern
SNAPSHOT REVIEW:

Nice and simple way to use the pancetta but so delicious.
hi joey, did you get a goody bag as well to take home? wondering if you'll be posting how you cooked the pork medallion :-)
oh yummm! i cooked that too haha, no nearly as good looking as chef leong's though ;)
hi ay, i kept grilled until it was nice a crispy and then drained it a bit on paper towel which seemed to do the trick :-)
I took a look on the Pork.com.au website under buying Australian and found that you can contact Montecatini and they will tell you where to buy. There's also a whole lot of people on there who also make gourmet smallgoods all around Australia.
hi snowy, thanks for the tips. well done. :-)
