Popular Bakery
Walking towards this isolated yet popular and family friendly local bakery and café I'm confronted with a sea of pedestrians wandering the streets. Thinking they are also visiting Sonoma I soon realise they are visiting their beloved Hillsong Church just up the road and being welcomed and guided by fluoro vested devotees directing car traffic.
Sonoma has a colourful and tempting array of pre-made sandwiches in the counter display, many types of breads and some cakes on offer. I noticed a cherry danish glistening on one of the racks but will have to try next time. Today I try their small basic toasted Ham, Cheese and Tomato which as expected is pretty basic in taste but the bread makes it just that little bit more special. My hot chocolate arrived about 5-10 minutes after my sandwich due to them being so busy I suspect with a long queue of waiting customers.
