Missed un-missable massaman
Whenever I spot crispy deep fried basil leaves on top of a dish I know the food will be a step up from the run-of-the-mill Westernized Asian restaurants. This tiny cheap and cheerful Asian diner has lots of the usual favourites and is the first place I've come across which now provides Dettol hand wash to customers on the table during these Swine Flu times. The prawns were plump and tasty in the Banana Flower Salad and you could definitely appreciate the chili-jam heat in the tofu stir fry. Tables are very small so be careful how many dishes you order at a time from the counter or you'll quickly run out of room. The Lamb Massaman and Beef Massaman are apparently their most popular dishes which I unfortunately missed this time even though it says 'un-missable' on the wall menu.
Where's your favourite Massaman Curry in Sydney?

I love hole in the wall type places, like this! THe dettol is hilarious! lol. Food looks good too!
Oh man! that looks like the bomb, that banana flower salad! And everything else! I wish I lived nearby so I can visit often!
What a great find!! The food looks mighty tasty.
Martin (Boetz)'s mussaman is so far the only one that's not drowned in coconut cream. That I have tasted, anyway.
