Chat Thai: The Galleries Victoria, Sydney (4 June 2009)

A favourite dish recommendation by Anna from Morsels & Musings inspires me to try for lunch at Chat Thai after just having lunch there the day before. This time it's for the Boat Noodle Soup which comes with crackling. It's full of flavour and I love the taste to the last spoonful. I'm not sure what's in it but each mouthful is satisfying taste sensation. Be sure to eat your crackling quickly before it gets too soggy from the soup. A colleague has the Green Papaya Salad which has lovely fresh ingredients, served with sticky rice and provides noticeable garlic and chilli on the taste buds.

Have you tried the 'other' Chat Thai? The one opposite the entrance to the Capitol Theatre on Campbell St Haymarket.. You have to queue for half an hour, but the wait is well worth while...! Try their Ship-to-Shore (Asian surf and turf?!) it's delish! And their lunchtime dessert of coconut milk, ice and jellied fruits is divine...
