Great Long Island Iced Tea
When it comes to happy hour cocktails I'm always compelled to go for the Long Island Iced Tea — it's a value for money thing. One will usually get you off to a good start but having 2 for the price of one is even better. During happy hour the Different Drummer seems to take more time in preparing and presenting their cocktails than Kuleto's, especially for the Long Island Iced Tea. Tonight is in honour of a good friend turning 'XXX' (that means 30) and upon arrival gets the party started with a bottle of Moët and 10 bottles of white and red wine for her guests. Her generosity follows with the No. 2 function menu of 5 different dishes at $15 per head (minimum of 10 people). I also tried the flash fried crumbed camembert which was very good and Spanish meatballs. The city skyline view from the top floor is pretty cool although the only bar is all the way downstairs which is a little unfortunate when you need a drink or wanting to order and pay for tapas — so stock up! I've always had a great time here which seems to be well suited for group parties.
